I provide business consulting and have a computer maintenance contract with a Chiropratic office in West Ashley.  One of the doctors asked for me to recommend software that alerts computer users to take breaks to avoid repetitive stress related problems.

Workrave is a free program that reminds you to get up from your computer to take breaks.  Workrave users testify that using this software helps reduce computer related back pain and the developers assert Workrave can help in the recovery and prevention of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI).  It does this by alerting you to take rest breaks, etc.  It can also be configured to restrict a person to a pre-set daily computer limit.  For more information, check out: http://www.workrave.org
